Moroccan Mohamed Kharraki Appointed General Director of LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire

Mohamed Kharraki from Morocco has taken the helm at LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire (LHCI). He has been appointed as the Managing Director of the subsidiary, effective August 1, 2026, following a decision by the Board of Directors.

He succeeds Rachid Yousry, who previously held the position of Managing Director at LHCI while also overseeing CIMENCAM, the group’s subsidiary in Cameroon. This transition will now allow Yousry to fully dedicate himself to his responsibilities in Cameroon.

Over 23 Years of Experience in the Cement Industry

Mohamed Kharraki assumes leadership at LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire with more than 23 years of experience in the cement sector. Throughout his career, the Moroccan executive has participated in and led several large-scale industrial projects across various African and international markets.

His career has notably included significant projects in industrial transformation in Morocco, Lebanon, and Kenya. He has distinguished himself particularly in the areas of safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.

A Profile Focused on Transformation and Decarbonization

In his various roles, Mohamed Kharraki has also contributed to the implementation of numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing industrial performance. His expertise encompasses decarbonization, digital transformation, and the optimization of operations across different sites.

His appointment comes at a time when the cement industry is increasingly prioritizing the reduction of its carbon footprint, technological innovation, and improved industrial efficiency.

Rachid Yousry to Focus on CIMENCAM

During his tenure at the head of LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire, Rachid Yousry oversaw the transformation of the business and contributed to maintaining sustainable growth dynamics along with strong performance metrics.

With this new organizational structure, he will now focus his full attention on CIMENCAM, where he will continue in his role as Managing Director.

The appointment of Mohamed Kharraki marks a new chapter for LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire, with the arrival of a leader possessing extensive experience in transforming cement and industrial operations.
