Aterian Launches New Drilling Campaign at the Azrar Site

British Mining Company Aterian Launches New Exploration Campaign in Morocco’s Azrar Project
The British mining firm Aterian is set to initiate a new exploration campaign on its copper and silver project located in Azrar, Morocco. The London-listed company, which holds an 85% stake in the project, plans to undertake 800 meters of reverse circulation drilling to further assess the mineral potential of the site.
This upcoming operation aims to verify the continuity at depth of the previously identified copper and silver indicators that have been discovered on the surface.
800 Meters of Drilling Planned for Azrar
According to a statement released on Wednesday, the drilling rig has already been mobilized to the site, while teams continue with preparatory work, including the construction of access roads and the installation of drilling platforms.
The operations will primarily target a mineralized fault structure that extends approximately one kilometer, as well as nearby sedimentary formations. This program is designed to provide new geological data to better understand the distribution and extent of the mineralization.
Promising Copper and Silver Grades
Previous rock chip sampling campaigns revealed grades reaching 3.41% copper and 56 grams of silver per ton.
These results highlighted surface mineralization indicators, and the new drilling efforts will aim to determine whether these concentrations extend into deeper geological layers, further clarifying the potential of the deposit.
The information gathered during this campaign will also help guide subsequent exploration phases for the Azrar project.
Financing Secured Through Joint Venture
Aterian confirms that all costs associated with this drilling campaign will be covered through its joint venture with Lithosquare.
This new phase of investigation is part of the company’s strategy to better evaluate the mineral resources of its projects in Morocco. The results from the 800 meters of drilling are expected to contribute to defining the development prospects of the Azrar copper and silver site.
