Gabon: CIMAF Invests Over 40 Million Euros and Strengthens Its Industrial Partnership

CIMAF to Invest Over €40 Million in Gabon: Strengthening Industrial Presence
The Moroccan group Ciments de l’Afrique (CIMAF) is set to invest more than €40 million in Gabon, confirming its commitment to strengthening its industrial presence in the country.
This project was unveiled in Libreville during a meeting between Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema and a delegation from the group led by its CEO Anas Sefrioui, marking a new phase in economic cooperation between the two parties.
Expansion of Cement Production Capacity
The investment primarily aims to develop a third production line and enhance the capacity of the clinker manufacturing facility, a crucial element in cement production.
The goal is to significantly increase local production to meet the growing demand for construction materials, particularly in the housing and public infrastructure sectors.
Towards Increased Industrial Power in Gabon
This project will also enable CIMAF to solidify its industrial footprint in Gabon, where it already operates active production units.
The expansion is expected to help reduce the country’s dependency on imported cement and support ongoing major construction and development projects.
A Strengthened Partnership Between Morocco and Gabon
This new initiative illustrates the growing momentum of Moroccan investments in Africa, particularly in strategic sectors such as construction materials.
CIMAF is continuing its strategy of continental expansion, focusing on local production and integrated industrial development across several African nations.
A Long-Term African Strategy
Beyond Gabon, CIMAF is further extending its activities across various markets on the continent, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable regional growth.
This new investment aligns with a broader vision aimed at supporting urbanization and infrastructure needs in Sub-Saharan Africa.
