Siera Manar Invests 94 Million Dirhams in New Production Lines in Casablanca

Siera Manar SA is continuing its industrial development with the inauguration of new production lines at its factory in Aïn Harrouda, located in the Casablanca-Settat region. This strategic project aims to enhance local appliance manufacturing and support the “Made in Morocco” initiative.
The inauguration was led by Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, alongside Siera Manar’s General Administrator Abdeljalil Lahlou. The new facilities are dedicated to the production of double refrigerators and freezers featuring the modern “Total No Frost” technology.
The project has mobilized a total investment of 94 million dirhams. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, this initiative is part of a national strategy aimed at strengthening the Kingdom’s industrial sovereignty and increasing the share of locally manufactured products in the national market.
With these new capacities, the factory aims to produce up to 23,000 refrigerators annually at first, with an ambitious target of reaching 95,000 units by 2030. The production capacity for freezers is expected to reach 35,000 units per year.
The project also boasts a local integration rate of 51%, helping to reduce dependency on imports. In the long run, this production is expected to cover around 18% of national refrigerator imports and nearly 20% of freezer imports.
In terms of employment, the new production lines have created 133 direct skilled jobs. The total workforce at the industrial unit now stands at 728 permanent positions, thereby strengthening the socio-economic impact of the company in the region.
Beyond production and employment, the project is anticipated to generate an additional business volume estimated at 365 million dirhams, contributing to the industrial and economic dynamism of the Casablanca-Settat region.
This new step reaffirms Siera Manar Group’s commitment to bolstering its presence in the national appliance market while contributing to the growth of Moroccan industry.
