Weather Alert in Morocco: Red Alert for Certain Provinces

Snowfall and Stormy Showers Expected Across Several Provinces in Morocco
The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has announced that several provinces in the kingdom will experience snowfall, occasionally stormy showers with hail in some areas, as well as strong gusts of wind from Wednesday to Thursday.
According to a red alert bulletin issued by the DGM, snowfall of 50 to 80 cm is expected starting at 1,800 meters altitude between midnight and noon on Wednesday in the provinces of Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Khenifra, Midelt, and Azilal.
Similarly, snowfall ranging from 25 to 50 cm at altitudes above 1,400 meters is anticipated during the same timeframe in the provinces of Ifrane, Chichaoua, Beni Mellal, Taroudant, Tinghir, Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Khenifra, Midelt, and Azilal.
During this period, the provinces of Sefrou, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Guercif, Taza, and Boulemane are also forecasted to receive snowfall of 10 to 25 cm, as indicated in an orange alert bulletin from the DGM.
In addition, stormy showers with localized hail are predicted on Wednesday from midnight to 9 AM, with estimated rainfall amounts between 20 to 40 mm in the provinces of Benslimane, Khouribga, Settat, Berrechid, Khemisset, Meknès, Khenifra, and Skhirate-Témara, and between 35 to 50 mm in Taza, Berkane, Driouch, Nador, Oujda-Angad, Jerada, Taourirt, Al Hoceima, and Guercif.
Finally, strong gusts of wind reaching 75 to 85 km/h are expected on Wednesday from midnight to 6 AM in the provinces of Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Zagora, Tata, Sidi Ifni, Al Haouz, Taza, Guelmim, Tiznit, Azilal, Midelt, Boulemane, Guercif, Tinghir, and Taourirt.
