Signing of a Framework Agreement Between the CSPJ and the Moroccan Archives Institution for the Preservation of Judicial Memory

Partnership Agreement Signed to Enhance Judicial Memory Preservation in Morocco

A framework partnership and cooperation agreement was signed on Monday in Rabat between the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) and the Moroccan Archives Institution. This agreement aims to strengthen collaboration and coordination in areas of mutual interest, particularly in preserving judicial memory.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Mohamed Abdennabaoui, the first president of the Court of Cassation and the delegated president of the CSPJ, alongside Latifa Mouftakir, the Director of the Moroccan Archives. According to a joint statement from both entities, the framework agreement seeks to establish a participative approach to documentation, archiving, and safeguarding judicial memory.

Under the terms of the agreement, both parties also aspire to develop joint programs focused on the exchange of publications and document copies, sharing experiences and consultations, as well as collaboratively organizing scientific seminars and awareness-raising events regarding archives and judicial memory.

Additionally, the framework agreement aims to enhance capabilities in the preservation and management of archives, organize joint exhibitions on judicial memory and history, and coordinate the publication of materials that promote the preservation of judicial remembrance.

The signing of this agreement highlights the shared commitment of the CSPJ and the Moroccan Archives Institution to strengthen their cooperative, partnership-oriented, and open institutional relationships. It also emphasizes their effort to institutionalize collaboration in the fields of documentation, archiving, and the protection of judicial memory.
