The draining of the Al Wahda dam disrupts rail traffic in Morocco.

The rail traffic on certain routes in the Kingdom has been temporarily disrupted due to the draining of the Al Wahda dam, which caused floods on Saturday night, according to a statement from the National Office of Railways (ONCF).
Temporary Suspension on the Sidi Kacem – Mechraa Bel Ksiri Route
The railway section connecting Sidi Kacem to Mechraa Bel Ksiri has been directly affected, leading to a temporary halt of trains on this route. Disruptions have also been reported on the Tangier – Fez line, affecting the regularity of passenger trains.
Alternative Solutions Implemented
The ONCF stated in its announcement that alternative solutions had been activated to ensure continuity of travel, including rerouting trains through the city of Kenitra. The Office emphasized that its teams are fully mobilized to restore rail traffic as quickly as possible.
