Saudi Defense Ministry Intercepts and Destroys Drones and Missiles

On Tuesday, April 7, the Saudi Defense Ministry announced that it successfully intercepted and destroyed 18 drones and 7 ballistic missiles in recent hours as part of its territorial defense operations.

Debris Near Energy Infrastructure

In a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency, official spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki noted that the ballistic missiles were aimed at the Eastern region. Debris fell close to energy facilities, and damage assessments are still underway.

A Heightened Regional Tension

These attacks occur against a backdrop of rising geopolitical tensions, with Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations facing repeated drone and ballistic missile strikes since the end of February.
