Between Bahrain and Egypt: Consultations Amid Escalation in the Middle East

Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, held a phone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, to discuss recent developments in the Middle East.
Focusing on Attacks and Their Consequences
According to the official Bahrain News Agency, the discussions centered on Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as the potential repercussions of a closure of the Strait of Hormuz on international navigation and the global economy.
Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation
The two officials also addressed the relationship between Bahrain and Egypt, emphasizing ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both countries.

These talks take place amid a significant military escalation in the region, characterized by rising tensions between the United States and Israel on one side, and Iran on the other, alongside ongoing attacks targeting several Arab nations, including Bahrain.
