AS FAR’s Doha Madani has been named Best Young African Female Player. At just 20 years old, she is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Moroccan and African women’s football.

Clement Mzize Wins Goal of the Year Award

Tanzanian player Clement Mzize from TP Mazembe has clinched the trophy for Goal of the Year 2025. Moroccan players Oussama Lamlioui and Ghizlane Chebbak, captain of the Lionnes de l’Atlas, were also among the finalists.

U20 Lionceaux Named Best Men’s Team of the Year

Champions of the U20 World Cup in Chile, the Lionceaux de l’Atlas have been declared the African Men’s Team of the Year. Morocco clinched the world title on October 19 in Santiago, delivering a commanding 2-0 victory against Argentina.
This historic performance marks a significant milestone in the rise of national football.

Yassine Bounou Named Best African Goalkeeper of the Year

Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou from Al-Hilal has been crowned Best African Goalkeeper of 2025. With an outstanding season under his belt with the Lions of the Atlas, Bounou also featured in the Best XI of the Club World Cup held in the United States.

Achraf Hakimi Crowned Best African Player of 2025

The evening concluded with Achraf Hakimi being named Best African Player of the Year. The PSG defender, who is a European champion and a linchpin of the Moroccan national team, has won this prestigious award for the first time at the age of 27.

Hakimi surpasses Egyptian Mohamed Salah, a two-time winner, and Nigerian Victor Osimhen, the 2023 winner. Ranked 6th in the Ballon d’Or and previously honored with the Marc-Vivien Foé prize, Hakimi continues to affirm his status as a global reference in his position.
