Tangier: Ibn Battouta Airport is Preparin for a Major Transformation
The Tanger Ibn Battouta airport is set to undergo a major transformation with an investment of over 3.27 billion dirhams, aimed at increasing its capacity from 2 million to 7 million passengers per year.
The project includes the construction of a new passenger terminal, the establishment of new aircraft parking areas, the installation of a new control tower, as well as the development of access roads, security facilities, and new digital solutions like E-Gates and OneID.
Covering nearly 199 hectares, the program is expected to be completed by the end of June 2029. This expansion aims to support the growth of Tanger and its region while enhancing international connectivity in northern Morocco.
