Royal Air Maroc Strengthens Its International Network Starting in 2026

Aiming for Global Connectivity

In line with its ambition to position Casablanca as a global air hub, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is taking a significant strategic step by announcing a historic expansion of its international network set to begin in 2026, according to an official company statement.

A Bold Growth Strategy

This expansion is part of the national airline’s development plan, aimed at reinforcing Morocco’s role as an air gateway between Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Since 2023, Royal Air Maroc has strengthened its fleet, increased frequencies on several key routes, and opened nearly twenty new international lines.

“These new routes embody our growth ambition and mark a key milestone in our development plan,” said Hamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc.

Ten New International Routes Announced

Following the announcement of the Casablanca-St. Petersburg route (January 2026) and the Casablanca-Los Angeles route (June 2026), Royal Air Maroc will launch five new destinations from Casablanca starting in April 2026:

  • Pointe-Noire (Congo)

  • Tripoli (Libya)

  • Beirut (Lebanon)

  • Bilbao (Spain)

  • Alicante (Spain)

In June 2026, the airline will also open the Casablanca-Palma route, further strengthening its Spanish network.

Enhancing the European Network

The Italian network will be expanded with the introduction of the Casablanca-Verona route starting June 20, 2026, complementing existing connections to Rome, Milan, Bologna, Naples, Catania, Turin, and Venice. In France, Royal Air Maroc will extend its presence with a new direct route from Casablanca to Lille beginning in July 2026.

Increased Capacity and Enhanced Comfort

Alongside the opening of these new routes, Royal Air Maroc will increase frequencies on several strategic long-haul destinations, including São Paulo, Miami, Washington, and Dubai. This expansion will be supported by the integration of new long-haul aircraft featuring upgraded cabins, improved comfort, and connected services that meet international standards.

A Contribution to Morocco’s Global Reach

Through this extensive expansion, Royal Air Maroc reaffirms its vital role in developing national tourism, enhancing the Kingdom’s connectivity, and continuously improving the customer experience.

Tickets for these new routes will be available for purchase starting December 15, on the official Royal Air Maroc website, through call centers, the airline’s commercial agencies, and its network of partner travel agencies.
