RSC Anderlecht Signs Promising Young Moroccan Forward Elyess Dao

RSC Anderlecht made a significant move at the end of the transfer window by announcing the arrival of Elyess Dao, an 18-year-old Moroccan forward, from Amiens (French Ligue 2). The player has signed with the Brussels club until 2029, marking a strategic recruitment aimed at bolstering the attack of the Mauves.

The Belgian club officially confirmed Dao’s signing on Monday, the last day of the transfer window, emphasizing the importance of this addition to invigorate their offensive line. Olivier Renard, the sporting director of RSCA, expressed the club’s enthusiasm: “Elyess is a talented striker with a very interesting profile. He has trained as a forward but can operate across the entirety of the attacking front. He is fast, comfortable on the ball, and has generated a lot of interest. We are thrilled that he has chosen our project.”

A Promising Journey

Born in Toulouse, Elyess Dao began playing football at the age of 6 before joining Amiens last summer to kick off his professional career. In Ligue 2, he made 14 appearances, often coming off the bench, and provided one assist. In the Coupe de France, he scored two goals in three appearances, including two starts.

On the international stage, Dao has already donned the Moroccan jersey, having played five matches with the U18 and U20 teams of the Atlas Lions. His transfer to Anderlecht marks a significant step forward in his development, and the young talent will aim to make his mark in the Belgian league while showcasing his potential.

With this signing, RSCA is betting on the future and hopes that Dao will bring his dynamism to the team. Thus, the Belgian adventure begins on a positive note for the young Moroccan forward, who is now ready to shine in the Pro League!
