Tunisia Equips 600 Primary Schools with Surveillance Cameras to Enhance Security

The Tunisian Ministry of Education plans to install surveillance cameras in 600 primary schools during this year, aiming to enhance security within these institutions and protect students, according to the daily newspaper La Presse.
Announcement During a Parliamentary Hearing
This decision was disclosed during a hearing held by the Commission for Education and Vocational Training within the Tunisian Assembly of People’s Representatives. The ministry emphasized that the installation of cameras also aims to improve the monitoring of school operations and ensure a safer educational environment.
Part of a Comprehensive National Program
This initiative falls under the third phase of the school self-protection program and is part of a broader plan to reinforce security and school transportation. The goal is to enhance safety in primary schools across the entire Tunisian territory.
