On Monday in Bangui, the President of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadéra.

The ceremony was attended by heads of state, foreign delegations, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Bangui, and several other distinguished guests. During the event, Mr. Touadéra took the oath of office for a new seven-year term as the President of the Central African Republic.

On this occasion, Mr. Talbi El Alami conveyed His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s congratulations and best wishes to President Faustin-Archange Touadéra, reaffirming the Sovereign’s ongoing commitment to work toward the development and strengthening of stability across the African continent.

The President of the House of Representatives was joined at the ceremony by the Moroccan Ambassador to the Central African Republic, Mustapha El Alami Fellousse.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI had previously sent a message of congratulations to Mr. Touadéra following his re-election as President of his country. In this message, the Sovereign expressed his readiness to collaborate with Mr. Faustin-Archange Touadéra in fostering increasingly close and supportive cooperation, both bilaterally and across the continent.
