Water Week: A Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Water Resource Management

In the context of growing challenges related to water resource management, the Mohammed VI Museum for Water Civilization in Marrakech hosted a significant scientific seminar during the Water Week organized by the Moroccan Association of Life and Earth Sciences Teachers. The seminar focused on the importance of circular economy principles in sustainable water management.

This event gathered a host of experts, researchers, and institutional actors from the water and environmental sectors, including Mr. Abdellah Ilhami, General Director of the Marrakech-Safi Regional Multi-Service Company. Discussions highlighted the current challenges posed by the scarcity of water resources and the opportunities presented by adopting innovative models centered around the valorization, recycling, and reuse of water.

The event was also marked by the signing of a partnership agreement between the Marrakech-Safi Regional Multi-Service Company and the Moroccan Association of Life and Earth Sciences Teachers. This initiative reflects a mutual commitment to enhance environmental awareness initiatives, especially among youth, and to promote a culture of responsible and sustainable water management.

Beyond the scientific exchanges, this gathering emerged as a genuine platform for strategic reflection, emphasizing the significance of valuing unconventional water resources and improving the effectiveness of public policies in the face of increasing water stress.
