A Strategic Meeting Between Nicolas Forissier and Fouzi Lekjaa
On Thursday, French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Attractiveness, Nicolas Forissier, met with Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Morocco 2030 Foundation, to boost investments, develop infrastructure, and strengthen economic exchanges between France and Morocco.
A Call for Strengthened Economic Relations
Accompanied by around thirty French business leaders, Mr. Forissier emphasized the desire to solidify the Franco-Moroccan economic partnership across various strategic sectors. He praised Morocco’s achievements, notably its hosting of CAN 2025, which he believes illustrates the Kingdom’s expertise in co-hosting the 2030 World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal.

He further added: “We want to strengthen our economic ties, especially in the context of the 2030 World Cup.”
Industrial Cooperation and Bilateral Development
This meeting also provided an opportunity to engage with several Moroccan ministers on industrial cooperation and the development of bilateral enterprises. “Relations are excellent, and we are committed to progressing together to build the future,” he clarified.
Learning from French Experience
Finally, Mr. Forissier reminded that Morocco could benefit from France’s experience as the host of the 1998 World Cup to optimize preparations for the 2030 World Cup. He was present on this occasion alongside Philippe Diallo, President of the French Football Federation.
