Sidi Bernoussi–Zenata: Coastal Liberation Operation Leads to Suspension of Activities at Multiple Establishments

Local authorities have launched a large-scale operation to free the coastline of the Sidi Bernoussi–Zenata area, situated in the Casablanca-Settat region, as part of efforts to recover and reorganize public maritime domain.
This initiative is part of a strategy aimed at ending irregular occupations of the coastline and restoring public access to beaches and coastal areas. Several establishments have been affected by this operation, leading them to suspend their activities upon the decision of the competent authorities.
Among the affected structures is the complex The View 360, along with other facilities located in this heavily frequented coastal strip. The operation has been conducted under the supervision of local authorities and is part of a broader effort to ensure land compliance and protect the maritime domain.
The Sidi Bernoussi–Zenata area, located between Casablanca and Mohammedia, represents a strategically significant space undergoing urban transformation, where industrial activities, real estate projects, and coastal development coalesce. This dynamic makes coastal management particularly sensitive, especially in terms of urban planning and the occupation of public domain.
This campaign to liberate the coastline is part of a series of similar actions being undertaken in other coastal areas of the country, aimed at strengthening governance of the maritime domain and enhancing the value of natural spaces.
