SRM Fès-Meknès Exceeds 2.9 Billion DH in Revenue and Accelerates Its Strategic Projects

SRM Fès-Meknès Continues its Ascension

The Regional Multiservices Company (SRM) of Fès-Meknès is steadily gaining momentum. On June 11, 2026, the company’s third Board of Directors meeting took place under the presidency of Khalid Aït Taleb, the wali of the Fès-Meknès region. This meeting served as an opportunity to evaluate the results of its first full financial year and to review major projects initiated in the region.

During this occasion, SRM Fès-Meknès’ General Director, Mohamed Chaoui, presented the 2025 results, characterized by a revenue exceeding 2.9 billion dirhams. This achievement confirms the steady growth of this regional operator responsible for managing drinking water, electricity, and wastewater services.

Board members applauded the financial and operational results achieved, as well as the continuity of public services maintained during the transition phase towards this new model of regional management.

The Board also approved the accounts for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. These accounts were certified without reservation by the auditor, underscoring the solidity of the company’s governance and the rigor of its financial management.

Beyond the recorded performances, several strategic challenges were discussed. The fight against fraud in distribution networks has been identified as a top priority for the company. In the province of Taounate, electrical losses reach nearly 47%, primarily due to illegal connections.

Board members emphasized the need to accelerate projects related to water security, resource preservation, and the improvement of distribution network efficiency, particularly in the face of climate challenges and increasing pressure on natural resources.

Environmental issues also played a significant role in the discussions. Among the issues reviewed were the management of leachate from the controlled landfill in Fès and projects for the reuse of treated wastewater for the irrigation of green spaces.

At the end of the meeting, all seven points on the agenda were unanimously approved. The Board reaffirmed its commitment to continue structural investments, enhance maintenance programs, improve communication with users, and intensify anti-fraud actions to optimize the quality of services provided to citizens.
