Business Creation: DirectEntreprise.ma Accelerates Digital Transition

The digitization of administrative processes related to business creation in Morocco has reached a new milestone. Since the nationwide launch of the platform DirectEntreprise.ma in March 2025, more than 50,300 businesses have been established electronically, according to figures released by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

In just over a year, the platform has steadily established itself as a central tool in the Moroccan entrepreneurial landscape. Currently, 44% of registered business creations in 2026 are processed through this digital portal. In several cities across the Kingdom, this percentage exceeds 70%, particularly in Fes, Dakhla, Errachidia, El Jadida, Safi, Benslimane, Sidi Bennour, Settat, and Khénifra.

This development marks a turning point in the modernization of administrative procedures, which have long been criticized for their complexity and lengthy timelines. Thanks to the complete dematerialization of formalities, the average processing time for a file has now been reduced to three days, compared to several weeks in the past. Some business registrations are even approved in less than twenty-four hours.

The platform operates on an integrated system that brings together various administrations and public bodies. It centralizes processes with the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property, commercial courts under the Ministry of Justice, the General Secretariat of the Government, the General Directorate of Taxes, and the National Social Security Fund.

The adoption of this system also extends to regulated professions. More than 3,200 notaries, lawyers, chartered accountants, and certified public accountants have registered on the platform to assist their clients with online business creation processes.

According to a survey conducted among professional users, 94% of respondents believe that the platform provides a smooth and satisfactory experience. This outcome reinforces the digital transformation strategy initiated by public authorities in the business sector.

The project was launched in February 2023 through a pilot phase conducted in Rabat, as part of the implementation of Law 88.17 concerning the electronic creation and support of businesses. After this experimental phase, the platform was rolled out nationally in March 2025. This gradual scaling appears to be yielding positive results.
