Cash Plus Strengthens Its Presence in the Digital Economy with an Investment in Tripass

The Cash Plus group is continuing the diversification of its investments in the digital economy through its acquisition of a stake in Tripass, a company specialized in developing digital solutions for mobility and on-demand transport services.

This transaction underscores the group’s commitment to diversifying its growth avenues and exploring new sectors beyond its historical activities in financial services and payment solutions.

The investment is made through the Cash Plus VC Fund I, an investment vehicle wholly owned by the Cash Plus group, dedicated to financing startups and companies with significant growth potential.

According to the structure chosen for the operation, the fund will become the direct investor in Tripass, while Cash Plus will maintain indirect and joint control over the company alongside its historical shareholder. Therefore, this operation does not constitute a total takeover of Tripass.

Tripass: Where Mobility Meets Digital

Tripass develops digital solutions aimed at the mobility sector. Its platform connects users with transport service providers, allowing them to book transportation services on demand.

This model positions Tripass at the intersection of the transport and technology sectors, as digital platforms increasingly play a crucial role in organizing and accessing mobility services.

A New Step in Cash Plus’s Diversification

For Cash Plus, this stake is part of a strategy to diversify its sources of growth and invest in digital activities complementary to its core business.

In addition to its operations in money transfer, bill payments, and payment solutions, the group aims to gradually strengthen its presence in sectors driven by the rise of technology and digital services.

The investment made through Cash Plus VC Fund I also reflects the ambition to build a diversified investment portfolio, targeting companies operating in sectors with high expansion potential.

Toward New Synergies Between Mobility and Payment

Incorporating Tripass into Cash Plus’s investment portfolio could foster the development of new synergies between digital mobility and electronic payment, especially with the increasing use of digital platforms to book transport services and settle related transactions.

This operation could thus allow for the merging of Tripass’s expertise in digital mobility solutions with Cash Plus’s proficiency in payment and digital financial services.

Through this operation, Cash Plus takes a significant stride in its diversification strategy and reaffirms its ambition to strengthen its presence within the digital economy ecosystem in Morocco, while continuing to grow its historical activities.
