Tanger Tech: Radical Bearing Invests $30 Million

Hangzhou Radical Energy-Saving Technology Set to Establish Auto Bearing Factory in Tanger Tech

The Chinese group Hangzhou Radical Energy-Saving Technology is preparing to set up an automotive bearing factory in the Mohammed VI Tanger Tech City. The establishment of its Moroccan subsidiary, Radical Bearing Morocco, was officially announced in a notice published in the Official Bulletin on October 7, 2026. This project represents a potential investment of $30 million, approximately 278 million dirhams, targeting the European, African, and Middle Eastern markets.

A Moroccan Subsidiary with a Capital of One Million Dollars

Formed as a simplified joint-stock company with a sole shareholder, Radical Bearing Morocco has a capital of one million dollars, which is about 9.25 million dirhams. Its headquarters is located in the Tanger Tech Free Zone, on plot number 52, with a business focus on manufacturing automotive equipment.

The incorporation deed was executed in Tangier on July 20, 2026, and subsequently filed with the commercial court on August 12. The company is registered in the commercial register under number 179161, and its statutory duration is set at 99 years. Shen Wenchao serves as its president.

In a stock market announcement made on September 9, 2026, the Chinese group detailed the scope of activities for its Moroccan subsidiary. These activities include the import, purchase, sale, and trade of automotive parts, as well as the research, manufacturing, and marketing of bearings for vehicles.

An Investment Approved as Early as February 2025

The industrial project in Tangier had already received approval from the board of directors of Hangzhou Radical Energy-Saving Technology on February 17, 2025. At that time, the group established a ceiling of $30 million for the planned investment in the factory’s construction but noted that the actual amounts committed would depend on the necessary regulatory approvals.

Funding is set to be secured progressively, using either the group’s own resources or third-party funds. The timing and amount of contributions will be adjusted according to local obligations regarding capital release and the actual needs of the Moroccan subsidiary.

The approved budget covers the main expenses related to the project, including the construction of buildings, acquisition of production equipment, and other facilities necessary for the site’s operation.

This operation fits into the international development strategy of the Chinese manufacturer, whose focuses include bearings and various components for the automotive industry.

LDK Technology: The Group’s Local Representative in Morocco

The investment in Radical Bearing Morocco is held indirectly at a 100% stake through LDK Technology Pte. Ltd., a wholly owned Singaporean company by the Chinese group.

Semi-annual accounts published on August 26, 2026, confirm this ownership structure and include the new Moroccan entity within Radical’s group of subsidiaries.

Registered in Singapore under number 202512460M, LDK Technology has a capital of 10,000 Singapore dollars, approximately 72,000 dirhams. Its headquarters is located at 36 Robinson Road. Its activities primarily encompass wholesale trade of various products and holding stakes in companies operating outside the financial and insurance sectors.

This organization structure allows the group to manage its foreign investments and conduct international business operations through a dedicated entity.

A Two-Hectare Factory Near Tanger Med

The future industrial unit is set to cover an area of approximately 20,000 square meters, equivalent to two hectares, within the Mohammed VI Tanger Tech City. The group had announced in its semi-annual report for 2025 that it had selected the land, signed a memorandum of understanding, and reserved the plot for the project.

The site is located about 35 kilometers from the Tanger Med port, providing a logistical advantage for sourcing components and shipping finished products to international markets.

In its document published in August 2026, Radical reported on the advancement of preparatory steps, including preliminary studies, land planning, signing necessary agreements, and formalities related to settling in the industrial zone.

These elements indicate the administrative progress of the project, even though the group notes that the construction and operational initiation of the factory will depend on the actual demands of its clients.

Europe, Africa, and the Middle East in Sight

The forthcoming Moroccan factory is expected to primarily serve the international automotive spare parts markets. It may also supply components to manufacturers for their original equipment needs.

For Hangzhou Radical Energy-Saving Technology, the establishment in Tangier aims to reduce delivery times to foreign clients and facilitate local sourcing for automotive manufacturers.

The group’s catalog encompasses several categories of components, including hub bearings, tapered roller bearings, release bearings, and idler rollers. These products are intended for both original equipment and the automotive repair market.

Through this investment, the Chinese group intends to establish a production base in Morocco to support its business activities in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. However, the pace of construction and industrial startup will depend on the evolution of demand and the needs of its clients.
