A New Production Unit for Agricultural Plastic Materials Inaugurated in Ouled Teïma
A new production facility specializing in agricultural plastic materials was inaugurated on Saturday in Ouled Teïma, located in the Taroudant province.
The ceremony was overseen in the presence of regional officials, along with various elected representatives, economic stakeholders, and institutional representatives.
Driven by GDIRAGRI, this industrial project aims to strengthen the economic and industrial fabric of the region while bolstering the investment momentum the Kingdom has experienced in recent years.
An Investment Exceeding 124 Million Dirhams
This venture represents a total investment of more than 124 million dirhams and is expected to create over 120 direct jobs.
The new industrial infrastructure aims to support the development of the agricultural sector through the local production of plastic materials designated for agricultural activities.
Officials emphasized that this initiative will also help reduce imports of agricultural plastics and reinforce national industrial sovereignty.
Taroudant Confirms Its Industrial Attractiveness
During the inauguration, speakers highlighted the growing position of the Taroudant region as an attractive destination for productive investments.
This momentum is driven by the developed industrial infrastructure in the region and the economic potential of the territory, particularly in areas related to agriculture and agro-industry.
The project also illustrates the rising industrial investment in the Souss-Massa region.
A Project Linked to Agricultural Value Chains
The GDIRAGRI industrial unit is part of a strategy to enhance local agricultural production chains.
The development of a national production of agricultural plastic materials is expected to boost the competitiveness of the agricultural sector while improving industrial integration around the region’s agricultural activities.
The Government is Focused on Productive Investment
The officials present remarked that authorities are continuing their efforts to encourage investments with a strong economic and social impact.
This focus aligns with the national strategy to support industrialization, job creation, and territorial development through productive projects capable of generating added value at both the regional and national levels.
