Weather for Monday, August 25, 2025: Heat in the South, Storms in the North
The General Directorate of Meteorology has released its weather forecasts for Monday, August 25, 2025. Here are the key weather trends expected across the country:
Significant heat is expected in the Southeast and the extreme South of Morocco.
Localized thunderstorms will occur in several areas of the North, particularly in the Northwest, the Rif, the Saïs, the Mediterranean coastlines, the Middle Atlas, and the Oriental region.
Light rain or drizzle is forecasted between Sidi Ifni and Laâyoune.
Localized fog is expected along the northern and central Atlantic coasts, especially during the following night.
Moderate to strong gusts of wind will occur along the Central coast, in the Southeast, the Atlas Mountains, and the Southern provinces, which may locally raise dust.
Minimum temperatures will range from 23 to 29°C in the southernmost regions, 20 to 24°C in the Moulouya Valley, the East of the Rif, and the Mediterranean, and from 14 to 21°C elsewhere.
A general decrease in daytime temperatures is expected across the country.
Sea conditions: pleasant to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, and slightly choppy to rough along the Atlantic coasts.
