The SRM Marrakech-Safi Open House Days Continue with a Focus on Innovation and Sustainability.

The Open Days of the Marrakech-Safi Regional Multiservice Company (SRM-MS) are ongoing in a vibrant and participative atmosphere, marked by strong engagement from young people, local stakeholders, and the general public. This initiative, held from October 28 to 31, 2025 at the Mohammed VI Museum for Water Civilization (Musée Aman), combines awareness, innovation, and environmental education centered around issues of water and sustainability.
A Hackathon to Innovate in Water and Energy
The first day featured the official launch of the “Water and Innovation” Hackathon, bringing together students, startups, and young inventors developing concrete solutions to challenges related to water, energy, and sustainability. Teams continue their work in a co-creation workshop, where ideas take shape in a spirit of collaboration and initiative.
The Eco-Village: A Space for Learning and Creativity
Within the eco-village, educational workshops and interactive activities have been launched for students and young people from the region, promoting a culture of environmental protection and natural resource conservation. A drawing competition also allowed children to express their vision of a more balanced and sustainable world.

Dialogue on Sustainable Resource Management
Open discussion sessions brought together experts, local stakeholders, and civil society representatives around topics such as public service management, water governance, and sustainable development models. These exchanges highlighted that trust, proximity, and listening are the pillars of a common regional culture dedicated to the protection of water and energy.
An Initiative Aligned with the Royal Vision for Sustainable Water Management
The Marrakech-Safi SRM emphasizes that this initiative aligns with the royal vision for the rational management of water resources and aims to enhance citizen awareness in response to growing pressures on water. The organization reminds us that water is a common good and that its preservation is a collective responsibility involving institutions, citizens, and civil society.

Conferences, Screenings, and Partnerships for a Model Region
The program also includes conferences, documentary screenings, and thematic exchanges bringing together experts, institutions, and economic stakeholders, in partnership with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, the Mohammed VI Museum for Water Civilization, and Emerging Business Factory.
This event marks a major step in promoting a culture of sustainability at the regional level, reaffirming the commitment to make the Marrakech-Safi region a national model for water management innovation.
