Achraf Hakimi Wins the Golden Lion Award for the Second Consecutive Year

Achraf Hakimi, the Moroccan international, has won the 2025 Lion d’Or award, following a vote organized by the newspaper “Al Mountakhab,” with the participation of 57 media outlets.

This marks the second consecutive victory for the right-back of the Atlas Lions, who is also a strong contender for the African Ballon d’Or.

Hakimi is the second Moroccan player to earn this honor, following his compatriot Yassine Bounou, who won it during its 15th edition.

The PSG player was favored over Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy.
