Under the theme “Sustainability, AI, Talent: The Winning Strategy,” this event highlighted the significant transformations redefining the role of accountants and the requirements of the Moroccan economic fabric.

The Accountant of Tomorrow: Architect of Trust

Faïçal Mekouar, President of OEC, emphasized that artificial intelligence (AI) is disrupting value chains and competitiveness. He stressed the importance of translating the guidelines of the New Development Model (NMD) into concrete actions.

According to him, the accountant is becoming an “architect of trust,” responsible for:

The congress also served as an opportunity to announce the launch of the first phase of the national 5G network, a strategic tool for digital inclusion and territorial competitiveness.

Morocco is also accelerating the development of sovereign data centers, such as the 500 MW Dakhla center, powered 100% by renewable energy, symbolizing the convergence of digitization and sustainability.

Impacts on Skills and Employment

  • Strengthen national databases

  • Integrate new indicators

  • Map sectoral developments related to digital and ecological transitions

Sustainable Finance and Talent Development

Brahim Benjelloun Touimi emphasized the role of financial markets in meeting the growing needs for green, digital, and industrial energy. Financial and non-financial transparency is becoming essential to:

  • Enhance trust

  • Attract investments

This initiative aims to position Morocco as a regional and Mediterranean hub for financial innovation, while supporting the country’s economic and technological transformations.
