Morocco Puts Well-Being at the Heart of Work

Préventica 2025: Workplace Well-being as a National Priority in Morocco

On Wednesday in Casablanca, Younes Sekkouri, the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills, asserted that worker well-being must be at the forefront of national priorities, as workers are the true pillars of economic development and business sustainability.

Speaking at a conference on the strategy of the National Institute of Working Conditions (INCVT) held alongside the “Préventica 2025” International Congress-Exhibition on Health and Safety at Work, Mr. Sekkouri called for collective mobilization to enhance health and safety (H&S) conditions across the Kingdom.

Toward a National Culture of Prevention

The minister emphasized that H&S is a key lever for economic competitiveness and sustainable development, stressing the need for dignified, healthy, and safe working conditions.

Under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco is experiencing unprecedented economic momentum that must be matched by heightened vigilance regarding the rising incidence of workplace accidents. Mr. Sekkouri advocated for the proliferation of hygiene and safety committees, highlighting that H&S encompasses mental and psychological health, especially in light of increasing professional stress.

He also underscored the necessity to bolster prevention measures tailored to the needs of female workers to ensure effective equality in workplace well-being.

The INCVT: Driving the National Prevention Strategy

At the event, Faiza Amahroq, Director of the National Institute of Working Conditions (INCVT), presented the new national strategy titled “Health and Safety at Work: Aiming for the Future.”

This ambitious vision aims to make the INCVT a reference center and national hub for prevention, training, research, and innovation in the field of health and safety at work.

It is based on an integrated sectoral approach tailored to the specifics of each economic activity, in partnership with professional federations and women’s associations. The construction, health, mining, agriculture, crafts, transport, and tourism sectors have been identified as priorities due to their economic significance and high occupational risks, particularly with the upcoming 2030 World Cup.

Préventica 2025: A Global Showcase of Workplace Safety

Eric Dejean-Servières, President of Préventica International, praised the success of the 2025 exhibition, which was marked by a record participation of experts and exhibitors from Africa, Europe, Asia, and America.

According to him, Préventica Casablanca has now established itself as an international platform for exchanges and innovation dedicated to safety and quality of life at work.

Tariq Essaid, President of the Préventica Congress, emphasized that this edition reflects the growing maturity of Moroccan stakeholders in governance of occupational risks and sustainable prevention. He also stressed the importance of a territorial and inclusive approach, particularly within industrial zones and construction sites, to enhance community resilience and protect workers in the face of rapid economic transformations.

International Cooperation and Shared Innovation

Yannick Jarlaud, a participant representing a group specializing in digital solutions for Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSE), commended Morocco’s dynamic international cooperation. He highlighted the tangible partnerships between Moroccan and French companies, showcasing the transfer of know-how and the Kingdom’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

A Concerted and Inclusive National Strategy

Supported by several ministries, including those of Health, Industry, Energy Transition, and Economic Inclusion, the 2025 edition of Préventica brings together over 200 exhibitors from four continents. This mobilization reflects Morocco’s determination to place health and safety at work at the heart of its national strategy, in alignment with its sustainable development goals and inclusive social vision.
