Morocco Celebrates Digital Art

November Digital: Morocco at the Heart of the International Digital Festivities
The French Institute of Morocco is celebrating throughout November the international festival of digital cultures, “November Digital,” a major event dedicated to digital artistic creation and the emergence of new Moroccan talents.
Since its launch in 2017, this global event has highlighted artistic and technological innovations, bringing together artists, researchers, students, and digital culture enthusiasts through a rich and interactive program.
An Immersive and Multidisciplinary Program
The 2025 edition of November Digital Morocco offers a unique experience that blends visual arts, virtual reality, cinema, music, and live performances. Twelve sites of the French Institute throughout the Kingdom are hosting around a hundred works accessible via mobile and tablet, including augmented reality creations, video games, podcasts, sound installations, and digital series.
This initiative aims to democratize access to digital culture while promoting the participation of young Moroccan creators.
Artificial Intelligence at the Center of Discussions
As part of the cycle dedicated to artificial intelligence and creation, French author and researcher Alexandre Gefen will lead a series of conferences in Tétouan (November 11), Kénitra (November 12), Casablanca (November 13), and Khouribga (November 14). These encounters will explore the stakes of AI in literature, art, and contemporary thought.
Three Digital Performances on National Tour
This edition of November Digital 2025 also features three performances that merge technological innovation with artistic expression:
“Samifati Concert & Transe Gnawa Express”: a fusion between the audiovisual universe of the Nantes duo Samifati and the spiritual rhythms of Gnawa musicians from Essaouira, presented in Oujda, Tétouan, Casablanca, Kénitra, Marrakech, and Essaouira.
“The Margin” by Pierrot Corpel, an immersive performance blending theater, dance, and club culture, scheduled for Agadir, El Jadida, Tangier, and Rabat.
“AI Dream” by creator Moulla, combining illusion, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality, presented in Casablanca, Oujda, Rabat, Meknès, Benguerir, and Khouribga.
A Strong Partnership with Major Moroccan Digital Events
This year, the French Institute of Morocco is strengthening its collaboration with several cultural and technological events across the Kingdom. Among them:
The International Video Art Festival (November 10-15, Casablanca)
Visa For Music (November 19-22, Rabat)
The Digital Art Festival – FAN (November 24-25 in Benguerir, November 26-30 in Khouribga)
The International Author Cinema Festival of Rabat (November 8-14)
These partnerships illustrate the French Institute’s commitment to supporting Moroccan digital creation and fostering dialogue between artists, institutions, and audiences.
Digital Technology in Service of Creativity and Inclusion
By opening the doors to digital creation for everyone, November Digital affirms Morocco’s role as a central player in cultural innovation in Africa and the Francophone world. Through this international festival, the French Institute of Morocco establishes itself as a bridge between tradition and modernity, connecting cultures, technologies, and generations.
