CentraleSupélec Exed Campus Casablanca Turns China into a Learning Laboratory for African Leaders

CentraleSupélec Exed Campus Casablanca: A Strategic Approach to Executive Education with Learning Expeditions in China

In response to the rapid changes in the global economy, technology, and management models, CentraleSupélec Exed Campus Casablanca is enhancing its approach to executive training by integrating Learning Expeditions in China as a strategic pillar of its Executive Education programs.

The institution focuses on international immersion to enable Moroccan and African executives to gain a deeper understanding of the transformations reshaping the global economic landscape. The goal is to complement academic teachings with hands-on experience within some of the world’s most innovative and competitive ecosystems.

The latest Learning Expedition, organized in March 2026 between Shanghai and Hangzhou, exemplified this ambition through a week of exchanges, company visits, specialized conferences, and meetings with key players in Chinese innovation.

Training Aligned with Global Economic Realities

For CentraleSupélec Exed Campus Casablanca, executive training can no longer be confined to theory. Leaders must be capable of directly observing emerging business models, analyzing innovations that are transforming markets, and identifying new growth levers for their organizations.

This pedagogical approach enables participants to confront theoretical concepts learned during training with operational realities observed in the field, all while developing a more open strategic vision regarding international challenges.

According to Nassef Hmimda, director of continuing education at École Centrale Casablanca, these immersive experiences offer leaders a unique opportunity to step back, enhance their decision-making capabilities, and better navigate transformations within their companies.

Shanghai and Hangzhou: Showcases of Chinese Innovation

The program revolved around two major hubs of the Chinese economy. In Shanghai, participants had the chance to discover dynamics related to advanced industrialization, innovation, and the internationalization of businesses.

In Hangzhou, China’s technological capital, leaders explored advancements in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, digital technologies, and new business models.

Among the companies visited were Launch Design, specializing in automotive design and industrial engineering, PNC Process Systems, which focuses on high-tech equipment for the semiconductor industry, and innovative players in digital marketing and autonomous robotics like Joy Media and Deep Robotics.

These exchanges allowed participants to better understand the factors contributing to the performance of Chinese companies, particularly their capacity for innovation, speed of execution, and international ambition.

A Strategic Opening for Moroccan and African Companies

Through this initiative, CentraleSupélec Exed Campus Casablanca aims to prepare a new generation of leaders capable of thriving in a globalized and ever-changing economic environment.

For Moroccan and African companies, this international exposure is a significant asset for better understanding global value chains, anticipating technological disruptions, and bolstering their competitiveness.

The school intends to continue developing these Learning Expeditions, which are now considered a key element of its internationalization strategy and the skill enhancement of tomorrow’s leaders.

Rooted in the academic expertise of CentraleSupélec France and the international network of the Central Schools Group, CentraleSupélec Exed Campus Casablanca confirms its commitment to combining academic excellence, field immersion, and global openness to support the economic and technological transformations of the African continent.
