Royal Air Maroc Announces New Direct Route from Casablanca to Los Angeles
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has announced the launch of a new direct flight service between Casablanca and Los Angeles, set to commence on June 7, 2026. This route marks the first direct connection between Africa and the American Pacific Coast, representing a significant milestone in the expansion of the national carrier’s long-haul network.
Operating three times a week, this new service addresses the growing demand for intercontinental travel, particularly as the FIFA World Cup 2026 approaches. It is especially aimed at the Moroccan and African diaspora, business travelers, American tourists, and fans planning to travel to the United States.
According to Hamid Addou, the CEO of RAM, this new route represents "a historic milestone for both the airline and air connectivity in Africa." He emphasizes that it strengthens Morocco’s international presence and enhances the visibility of the Moroccan destination in the American market.
Flights will be operated on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, providing high-end comfort, a wide range of entertainment options, and technology suited for long distances. This launch further establishes Casablanca as a strategic hub, effectively connecting Africa, Europe, and America.
RAM is also bolstering its presence in North America, where it already serves New York, Washington, Miami, Montreal, and Toronto, while increasing flight frequencies to São Paulo, Miami, Washington, and Dubai.
The scheduled times for the flights are as follows:
- Departure from Casablanca: Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 04:00, arriving in Los Angeles at 08:20.
- Departure from Los Angeles: 10:20, arriving in Casablanca at 05:25 the next day.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting December 4, 2025, through RAM’s website, call centers, travel agencies, and partner travel agencies.
