An Unmissable Presence Throughout the Competition

“Assad” will be a prominent figure in stadiums, fan zones, community events, and digital content throughout the competition, scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

A Tribute to the Lion of the Atlas, a Strong National Symbol

In its announcement, CAF explained that the mascot draws inspiration from the Lion of the Atlas, an iconic symbol of Morocco and a unifying figure in Africa.
The name “Assad,” which means “lion” in Arabic, embodies the strength, pride, and cultural authenticity that connect Moroccan and African supporters.

A Young, Modern, and Warm Visual Identity

According to CAF, Assad’s visual identity is based on a friendly, youthful, and expressive lion, reflecting the warmth, creativity, and diversity of the continent.
Its color palette and design seamlessly integrate with the graphic identity of the TotalEnergies CAF CAN Morocco 2025, presenting a modern, cohesive, and dynamic image of the tournament.
