As part of the efforts to improve services provided by the Regional Multi-Service Company of Oriental at the regional level, Mr. Abdelssalam El Hattache, Governor of the Guercif Province, presided over the launch ceremony for the rehabilitation projects of the drinking water network in the city of Guercif on January 15, 2026. These projects specifically target the Chouibier neighborhood, the Oujda road, and the Saka road.
The total cost of these projects amounts to 14.5 million dirhams, allocated for rehabilitation work on the Oujda road and the Saka road. This is supplemented by an additional 13.5 million dirhams dedicated to the Chouibier neighborhood, with 100% of the funding provided by the Regional Multi-Service Company of Oriental. These investments aim to enhance the efficiency of the drinking water distribution network and reduce water losses in the targeted areas.
The planned interventions include modernizing the hydraulic system through the installation of new pipelines, the construction of auxiliary structures, and connecting new lines to the existing network, all while ensuring a smooth transition of services until the decommissioning of the outdated installations.
These significant projects reflect the commitment of the Regional Multi-Service Company of Oriental to meet its obligations in improving connection rates and ensuring widespread access to drinking water. They also reaffirm its role as a key partner in supporting the development dynamics and urban upgrading initiatives underway in the city of Guercif.
