Opening of the 46th session of the African Union Executive Council in Addis Ababa with Morocco’s participation.

The 46th ordinary session of the African Union Executive Council began on Wednesday in Addis Ababa, with active participation from Morocco. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nasser Bourita, is leading the Moroccan delegation during this session, which precedes the ordinary summit of heads of state scheduled for February 15 and 16.

During this meeting, several key issues will be addressed, including the election of five members to the African Union Peace and Security Council (PSC). The Executive Council will also elect six AU commissioners and review the annual report on the activities of the Union and its organs. Furthermore, the meeting will focus on examining the agenda items and decisions that will be submitted at the 38th AU summit.
