Overcast Skies and Scattered Showers in Several Regions of the Kingdom This Saturday

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that the weather conditions for Saturday, January 31, will be marked by overcast skies in several regions of the Kingdom, particularly in the High and Middle Atlas mountains, the Saïss region, as well as the Rif.

Light Rain on Northern Plains and Low Clouds Along the Coasts

According to the forecasts, the sky will be partially cloudy, accompanied by scattered showers over the Atlantic plains extending north of the city of El Jadida, as well as in the regions of Tangier, Loukkos, and Gharb.
Low and dense clouds are also expected over the central Atlantic plains and the northwest of the southern provinces, which may be accompanied by light rain.

Relatively Strong Winds and Dust Storms in Southern Regions

Relatively strong gusts of wind are predicted along the Mediterranean coast, in the eastern region, the Atlas mountains, as well as in the southern provinces of the Kingdom.
Furthermore, local dust storms may affect certain areas of the southern provinces and the south of the eastern region.

Temperature Drop in the North and Increase in the South

Minimum temperatures will range between -3 and 5 degrees in the Atlas mountains, between 4 and 9 degrees in the Rif and high plateaus, between 15 and 17 degrees near the coasts, and between 10 and 15 degrees in the rest of the country.

Throughout the day, a slight drop in temperatures is expected in the northern half of the Kingdom, while a relative increase will occur in the southern provinces.

Choppy to Rough Seas Along Various Maritime Fronts

Regarding the state of the sea, conditions will be choppy to rough along the Mediterranean coast and the Strait of Gibraltar, and rough to very rough between Assilah and Sidi Ifni.
It will also be choppy to rough along the rest of the coasts, becoming locally slightly choppy to choppy between Tarfaya and Laâyoune.
