The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) Assumes the Chairmanship of the Arab Union of Electricity Board of Directors

During the 22nd Ordinary General Assembly of the Arab Union of Electricity (AUE), held on Thursday in Riyadh, the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) was elected to the presidency of the Board of Directors for the 2025-2027 term. The AUE comprises nearly 33 members, including institutions and electricity service providers from the Arab world.
A new Board of Directors has been formed, featuring representatives from Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Jordan, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Tunisia, and Sudan.
During the ceremony marking the handover of the presidency from Morocco’s National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) to SEC, the CEO of SEC, Khalid Bin Salem Al-Ghamdi, expressed his commitment to advancing the projects and initiatives of the Union. He also emphasized the willingness of his team and the Board members to collaborate to enhance the services of the AUE and attract new members.
This election represents a strategic turning point for the Arab Union of Electricity, with a focus on cooperation among Arab countries in the field of electrical energy.
