Friday’s Weather: Cold, Localized Frost, and Fog with Occasionally Strong Winds

Meteorological Forecast for Friday
The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts a relatively cold day across several regions of the Kingdom on Friday, with localized frost expected during the morning and night, particularly in the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, and the Oriental region.
Frost and Mist Formation
Low clouds accompanied by fog or localized mist are also anticipated over the northern and central Atlantic plains, Saïss, the phosphate plateaus, Oulmès, the Souss, and the northwestern provinces of the South, which may reduce visibility in some areas.
Moderate to Strong Winds in the South
Moderate to sometimes fairly strong winds will blow along the central coast, the southern Saharan provinces, and the southeastern part of the country. Dust storms are also forecast for the southern provinces, which could impact traffic conditions.
Falling and Contrasting Temperatures
Minimum temperatures will fluctuate between -3 and 2°C in the Atlas Mountains, between 2 and 4°C in the Rif and the eastern high plateaus, and between 6 and 12°C in the remaining regions. In the South, temperatures will range locally between 17 and 20°C, and between 12 and 17°C in other areas of the southern provinces and southeastern region.
Throughout the day, temperatures in the southeast will experience a slight decline, while an increase is expected in the rest of the country.
Sea Conditions
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean, slightly choppy to choppy in the Straits, and rough to locally strong between Tangier and Tan-Tan.
