Weather Alert Issued for Multiple Regions

The Directorate General of Meteorology issued an “orange” weather alert on Tuesday for several regions of the Kingdom, warning of locally severe thunderstorms accompanied by hail and strong winds.

Thunderstorms and Hail

According to the Directorate, significant thunderstorms are expected, with rainfall amounts ranging from 25 to 35 mm in the provinces of Figuig, Boulemane, Settat, Marrakech, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Rehamna, and Al Haouz. These phenomena are anticipated to occur between 2:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

Strong Winds

Local gusts of wind are also expected to reach speeds of 75 to 80 km/h in the prefectures and provinces of Tétouan, Tanger-Assilah, and Fahs-Anjra, from noon until 6:00 PM.

Residents and users are urged to exercise caution and follow local authorities’ recommendations to mitigate risks associated with these severe weather conditions.
