Weather Forecast for Friday: Instability with Thunderstorms and Hail

The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts generally unstable weather for this Friday, characterized by thunderstorms, occasionally accompanied by hail over the Rif region, the western Mediterranean coast, the northern and central Atlantic plains, as well as the High and Middle Atlas and their surrounding areas, including the Oriental region.

Expected Rain and Snowfall

Rain or thunderstorms are also anticipated in the Souss, Anti-Atlas, and northwest Saharan provinces, with snowfall projected on the peaks of the High Atlas.

Strong Wind Gusts

Moderate to strong wind gusts are expected in the Oriental region, the Atlas areas, and the southern provinces, intensifying the feeling of coolness.

Temperature Variations

Minimum temperatures will range from -5 to 0°C in the coldest areas, between 15 and 20°C in the Oriental and locally in the southern provinces, and between 6 to 12°C elsewhere. Daytime temperatures will see a slight increase over the northern Atlantic plains, the Mediterranean coast, and the Oriental region.

Sea Conditions

The sea will be slightly to moderately rough in the Mediterranean and the Strait, as well as between Cap Spartel and Mehdia and between Tarfaya and Laâyoune, with rough to very rough conditions along the remaining coastlines.
