American Actor Nicholas Brendon Dies at 54

American actor Nicholas Brendon has passed away at the age of 54, his family announced on Friday. In a statement shared on social media, they revealed that he died in his sleep from natural causes, but did not specify the exact date or circumstances surrounding his death.

Brendon was best known for his role as "Xander Harris" in the beloved series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a character he portrayed for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003. In the show, he played one of the close friends of the protagonist, a teenager who battles vampires and supernatural creatures while navigating the challenges of high school life.

The actor also appeared in several other television series, including Criminal Minds, Private Practice, and Kitchen Confidential, the latter being a TV adaptation of the memoirs of renowned New York chef Anthony Bourdain.

In recent years, Brendon faced health issues. In 2023, he revealed on Instagram that he had undergone two back surgeries and had suffered a heart attack.
