Serie A: AC Milan Defeats Verona and Secures 2nd Place in Standings

AC Milan secured a 1-0 victory against Hellas Verona on Sunday, moving up to second place at the expense of Napoli, who were held to a 2-0 defeat by Lazio on Saturday during the 33rd round of Serie A.
The Lombard team, coming off two consecutive losses, managed to bounce back thanks to a goal from French midfielder Adrien Rabiot in the 41st minute.
They now share the same number of points as Napoli (66), but with a better goal difference. The league leaders, Inter Milan, remain 12 points ahead with 78 points and five matches remaining.
Juventus, currently sitting in fourth place with 60 points, will hope to close in on the podium with a win against Bologna later in the evening.
At the bottom of the table, Hellas Verona is tied on points with last-placed Pisa (18 points) and has now suffered five straight defeats, moving closer to relegation.
