Weather in Morocco: Hot Weather and Thunderstorms Expected This Sunday in Certain Regions

Weather Forecast for Sunday, April 19, 2026

The following weather forecast has been prepared by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM):

• Warm to Hot Conditions: Expect relatively warm to hot temperatures in the Saharan provinces, Souss region, Southeast, and the northern and central plains.
• Unstable Clouds: There will be unstable clouds with intermittent rain showers or thunderstorms in the High and Middle Atlas regions.
• Partly Cloudy Skies: The skies will be mostly clear to occasionally cloudy over the plains west of the Atlas, as well as in the Souss, Southeast, and southern areas.
• Local Mist and Drizzle: Expect misty conditions or localized drizzles in the northern and central plains and over the Mediterranean coast during the morning and overnight hours.
• Moderate Wind Gusts: There will be moderate gusts of wind in the Tangier region and the southern provinces, along with localized sandstorms.
• Temperature Ranges: Minimum temperatures are expected to be around 4-11°C in the Atlas and Rif mountains, 20-26°C in the southern areas, Souss, and Southeast, and 12-19°C elsewhere.
• Daytime Temperature: Daytime temperatures are expected to rise slightly.
• Sea Conditions: The sea will be generally calm to slightly choppy on the Mediterranean, and slightly to moderately choppy along the Strait and the Atlantic coast.
