Weather Forecast for Morocco on Tuesday, April 21: Thunderstorms and Strong Winds

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts unstable weather conditions for this Tuesday across several regions of the Kingdom, characterized by localized thunderstorms and occasionally strong gusts of wind.

Morning Mists on the Coasts

Low clouds accompanied by mist formations are expected in the morning along the southern coasts, while the sky will be mostly clear to partly cloudy in various regions inland.

Localized Storms in Several Areas

Unstable clouds will lead to localized thunderstorms in the eastern Saharan provinces, the High and Middle Atlas ranges, the eastern Rif, and the eastern region.

Some light rain is also anticipated in the Souss region, while the plains to the west of the Atlas will experience mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.

Wind Gusts and Sand Drifts

Moderate to fairly strong winds are expected in the Atlas mountains, the interior of the Souss, the eastern region, and the far southeast, with localized sand drifts occurring.

Fluctuating Temperatures

Minimum temperatures will range from 5 to 12°C in the Atlas and Rif mountains, from 18 to 23°C in the northeast of the Saharan provinces, the southeast, as well as in the Saïss, Loukkos, and Gharb regions, and from 13 to 18°C elsewhere.

Maximum temperatures will rise in the eastern and southeastern regions but will decrease in the rest of the country.

State of the Sea

The sea will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait, slightly choppy along the Atlantic shoreline, and slightly to moderately choppy north of Larache.
