Rabat Hosts the 7th Edition of the DGSN Open Days from May 18 to 22

The General Directorate of National Security has announced the organization of the 7th edition of the Open House Days, scheduled from May 18 to May 22 in Rabat, along the coastline of the capital.

This event is part of the security institution’s strategy to enhance its engagement with citizens and allow them to gain an in-depth understanding of the various missions and specificities of police work.

The initiative aims to create an interactive and accessible space, featuring professional stands, field demonstrations, thematic conferences, and activities for children. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore different security professions and gain a better understanding of the police’s role in protecting people and property.

This new edition continues the success of previous events, as the Open House Days have become a significant annual appointment in the institutional communication policy of the DGSN, combining education with public engagement.

The Rabat edition holds particular importance following the record attendance at the previous edition held in El Jadida, which attracted over 2.4 million visitors, reflecting the growing interest in this initiative.

A strong turnout is anticipated this year, given the opportunity for the public to interact directly with security services, discover their modern equipment, and learn about the evolution of their working methods.

Through this event, the DGSN also highlights the transformations in police work in Morocco, especially in terms of modernizing resources, enhancing communication, and promoting the concept of "community policing," which is more aligned with societal expectations.

Finally, the General Directorate of National Security emphasized that access to this event will be free for the public, aiming to facilitate direct interaction and strengthen the trust between security institutions and citizens.
