Stellantis inaugurates its third global vehicle dismantling center in Casablanca.

Automaker Stellantis has inaugurated a new facility in Casablanca dedicated to the dismantling of end-of-life vehicles. This strategic infrastructure is part of the company’s commitment to enhancing the circular economy and marks its third global site, following those in Turin, Italy, and São Paulo, Brazil.
A Project at the Heart of the Circular Economy
This center is entirely focused on processing vehicles that are no longer in use, aiming to recover, inspect, and reuse automotive parts. The facility extends the lifespan of components while reducing the environmental impact of the automotive industry.
This initiative aligns with the group’s global strategy, driven by its SUSTAINera division, which specializes in remanufacturing, repair, reuse, and recycling.
Casablanca: A New Strategic Regional Hub
Located in Casablanca, the center is positioned as a regional pillar for Africa and the Middle East. It is also expected to serve as a reference point for establishing an industrial chain for the reuse of automotive parts in the region.
The site is designed to support the development of a structured ecosystem around end-of-life vehicles, in line with the group’s industrial standards.
A Significant Investment with Robust Capabilities
The center spans approximately 6,000 square meters and represents an estimated investment of €1.6 million. It has a processing capacity of up to 10,000 vehicles per year and is expected to create around 150 direct and indirect jobs.
The vehicles processed at this facility will primarily come from insurance companies, auctions, and specialized sectors.
An Industrial Strategy Focused on Sustainability
Through this project, Stellantis reinforces its commitment to sustainability and reducing the environmental footprint of its operations. The group aims to make the circular economy a lever for industrial performance and a cornerstone of its presence in Morocco and the surrounding region.
