A French passenger repatriated from the cruise ship MV Hondius has tested positive for hantavirus, announced Health Minister Stéphanie Rist on Monday. She also reported that 22 contact cases have been identified in France.
Among the five French nationals repatriated and placed in isolation in Paris, the health condition of one woman has "unfortunately deteriorated overnight," with the "tests returning positive," she stated on France Inter radio. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu will hold another meeting on Monday afternoon.
