Art and Theatre: A Living Stage of Dreams

Throughout April, Riad Sultan will celebrate the arts in all their forms: theatre, music, dance, photography, and much more. This is an unmissable event for all art and culture enthusiasts.

As part of the monthly seminars organized by the AL BOUGHAZ Association, Riad Sultan will host a special session on April 10. The seminar titled “Tanger: A Crossroad of Perspectives: From Orientalism to Contemporary Photography,” led by Mehdi SEFRIOUI, will take you on a visual journey through time, highlighting the unique cultural history of Tangier.

Dance performances will continue to energize the season. On April 11, in partnership with the Malabata-Thau Association from Sète (France), Riad Sultan will welcome choreographer Germana CIVERA for her performance “The Danger of a Single Story.” This performance invites audiences to understand the world through a diverse lens, breaking down stereotypes.

On April 14, Riad Sultan will offer a unique scientific experience with the screening of “Big Bang – The Call of Origins,” followed by an engaging discussion with astronomer Sylvie VAUCLAIR. This journey through the history of the universe will help deepen your understanding of the cosmos’ mysteries.

On April 18 and 19, don’t miss the solo performance “THE CONSTELLATION OF CANCER” performed by Marie TAHRA. An emotional drama about resistance, despair, and resilience in the face of illness, where hope, tenderness, and humor intertwine.

Finally, on April 28, 29, and 30, Riad Sultan will present a performance dedicated to the youngest audience with “Tales and Notes.” Fadwa KARTAF, accompanied by Younes FAKHAR, will guide children into a magical universe where storytelling and music blend, nurturing their imagination.

Training and Workshops: A Hub of Creativity and Innovation

Riad Sultan also opens its doors to young talents and professionals eager to sharpen their skills. Thanks to a partnership with the National Theatre of Belfort (France), specialized workshops will be offered, focusing on theatrical lighting, dance, and cultural space management. These training sessions allow participants to meet experts and spark their creativity in an environment conducive to experimentation.

Theatre workshops led by Malika ZIRARI will explore improvisation, body expression, and dramatic writing. Additionally, circus and theatre workshops for children will take place every Sunday morning, providing a wonderful opportunity for young people to develop their self-confidence and creativity.
