The toll of the devastating earthquake in Myanmar rises to over 3,350 dead.

Death Toll Rises Following Powerful Earthquake in Myanmar
The toll from the powerful earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28 continues to rise, reaching at least 3,354 fatalities, according to local media reports. The 7.7 magnitude tremor also left 4,508 individuals injured, with 220 people still reported missing.
According to the United Nations, over three million people have been affected by this natural disaster, exacerbating the already dire situation in the country, which has been battered by four years of civil war that have left its economy and infrastructure in tatters. This complicated scenario significantly hampers the delivery of humanitarian aid.
More than 1,000 foreign rescuers have arrived in Myanmar to assist local, under-equipped services, particularly in Mandalay, the country’s second-largest city located near the earthquake’s epicenter.
In neighboring Thailand, the earthquake has also resulted in the deaths of at least 22 people in the capital, Bangkok.
