Morocco Stitch & Tex 2026: Casablanca Welcomes Key Players of the Moroccan Textile Industry

Morocco Stitch & Tex 2026: A Catalyst for Transformation in the Textile Industry

The Morocco Stitch & Tex 2026 fair is set to return to Casablanca from June 23 to 25, aiming to support the transformation and upgrading of the Moroccan textile industry. Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in partnership with the Moroccan Association of Textile and Clothing Industries (AMITH), this event has established itself as a key professional gathering for the sector in Morocco and the region.

Scheduled to take place at the Casablanca International Fair (formerly OFEC), the exhibition will bring together industrialists, investors, technology providers, international buyers, and institutional representatives to address the strategic challenges facing the textile sector. The goal is to foster partnerships, stimulate investment, and accelerate local industrial integration.

A Strategic Sector for the Moroccan Economy

Textiles and clothing play a central role in the national economy. The sector currently encompasses over 1,600 companies and generates nearly 200,000 direct jobs. It also serves as a significant driver of Moroccan exports, particularly to European markets.

Despite its strong performance, the Moroccan textile industry faces several challenges related to industrial integration. Certain strategic segments, such as yarns, fabrics, technical textiles, and industrial equipment, remain heavily reliant on imports.

Strengthening “Made in Morocco”

In light of these challenges, developing upstream textile production emerges as a priority to enhance the Kingdom’s industrial sovereignty, increase local added value, and improve the competitiveness of “Made in Morocco.”

Morocco Stitch & Tex 2026 aims to bridge the gap between international technological innovations and the modernization needs expressed by Moroccan companies. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in the sector, forge new partnerships, and identify innovative solutions to boost their production capacities.

Over 120 Exhibitors Expected

Held concurrently with Morocco Print Expo, this 19th edition is expected to host more than 120 exhibitors from eight countries and attract over 5,000 professional visitors.

Supported by Deals Fairs, Global Fairs & Events, and Vision Fairs, the event reinforces Morocco’s position as an attractive regional industrial platform and contributes to the development of a more integrated, innovative, and value-generating textile industry.
