Automotive Industry: BENTELER Opens New Plant in Kénitra, Creating Over 300 Jobs

The Moroccan automotive sector continues to expand with the inauguration of a new industrial unit. The German supplier BENTELER has officially opened its production plant in Kénitra, strengthening Morocco’s position as a key industrial hub for the automotive industry in Africa and the Mediterranean.
A New Factory Operational in the Atlantic Free Zone
Located within the Atlantic Free Zone of Kénitra, this state-of-the-art factory begins operations just one year after the laying of its foundation stone. This industrial project demonstrates the rapid implementation of investments in the Kingdom and highlights the growing attractiveness of its automotive ecosystem.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, Ralf Göttel, CEO of BENTELER Group, along with company officials, employees, clients, and partners.
Over 300 Direct Jobs Created
With this new facility, BENTELER generates over 300 direct jobs, along with numerous indirect jobs throughout the local automotive value chain.
This new unit will also enhance the production capacities of the sector while promoting the development of a more integrated and competitive industrial fabric.
An Investment That Reinforces Morocco’s Positioning
On this occasion, Ryad Mezzour emphasized that this inauguration represents a significant milestone in the development of the national automotive ecosystem. He noted that this new investment strengthens the competitiveness of the Moroccan industry and accelerates the local integration of the value chain.
The minister also stated that BENTELER’s decision to invest in Morocco reflects the confidence of international industrialists in the Kingdom, which is recognized for its stable economic environment, the quality of its workforce, and its ambition in industrial innovation.
